MindTEXT is an online journal brought out by Centre for Public Policy Research. Centre for Public Policy Research (CPPR) was formed in 2004 by individuals who believed in Freedom of Expression, Rule of Law and Right to Livelihood. CPPR is constituted as a Trust for the purpose of carrying out its objectives for the benefit of the public at large, irrespective of class, community and creed.
MindTEXT's first issue came out in May 2006. Now in its new online avatar, MindTEXT is being launched in May 2009. MindTEXT hopes to be an online forum for people to exchange and disseminate thoughts, ideas and opinions about contemporary socio-economic and political events of national and international importance.
MindTEXT intends to serve two objectives
- One as a platform for researchers and writers in public policy to publish their findings of research to a wider audience in a form and language that is comprehensible to the readers to MindTEXT
- Two as a medium of "idea exchange" on national and international issues. Without catering to any established ideology, MindTEXT hopes to be catalyst that will lead to alternative thinking among leaders on issues and matters of importance.
MindTEXT will have four sections:
Featured Articles : Where researchers and writers are encouraged to publish their findings in varied areas of public policy.
Opinions : Where writers opine on contemporary socio-economic and political issues
CPPR's Views on the News : Where CPPR expresses its views on events as and when they unfold
Your Space:Discussion Forum : Where the readers get a chance to air their views on current affairs.
We solicit and request reader's comments on all the sections of MindTEXT. Your opinion will matter the most to us as we hope to improve with every issue of MindTEXT.
